HFSC is so much more than pool facilities - it's been a welcoming, safe, and joyful community for my entire family each summer. Special places like ours don't happen by accident or on the backs of few people. It requires a collection of people offering their time, expertise, & energy. I'd like to help that effort by serving on the board.
As CEO of Ian's Pizza and through my independent consulting, I work daily to support entrepreneurs and advance small businesses. Recent years have brought new experiences in managing difficult finance and policy decisions through a pandemic. Past non-profit board work includes Heartland Farm Sanctuary and as Treasurer at Woodland Montessori School. I would love to bring my experience and energy to the HFSC board, helping guide our special community into the future.

I'd like to step up and volunteer my time to help the Hill Farm Swim Club Board with its yearly business, maintain the pool's awesomeness, and help create a friendly, fun atmosphere where all members feel welcomed, heard, and reached - whether they are only in the baby pol, here for the water aerobics classes, have three kids on the swim team, or what have you. There should be fun and Farmily for all here at HFSC. We're on our sixth summer here at HFSC, and have been through the baby pool phase, the Mini Moo moment, my wife is a staunch water aerobicizer, and our daughter is now squarely into the swim team phase. I feel that I have a good finger on the pulse of the greater population of the pool and the neighborhood as a whole, as I teach a large number of the kids who swim here. I feel I understand the wants and needs of the families here and would love the chance to represent the many diverse members of this club.
My professional background includes teaching various music classes as Madison College for over 12 years, and I maintain a private piano studio with over 45 students.

When my family and I moved into the neighborhood in 2014, we thought it would be kind of nice to have a pool so close to home. We did not realize how we would instantly become part of an amoozing community that feels like farmily. Hill Farm Swim Club has become our second home. My husband, Mike, and I have four children: Hudson (12), Zoey (11), Winona (8), and Maple (6). They love being at the pool, making new friends, and having fun with the coaches, staff, and lifeguards.
For my day job, I work part time as a pharmacist for a Veterinary Pharmacy. I also lead a multi- age Girl Scout Troop with my 3 daughters and many of their friends, classmates, and fellow holsteins. I started this troop last school year and it has grown to over 20 girls.
In my free time, I like to explore the outdoors with my family by hiking, biking, and canoeing. Our goal is to get to every state park in Wisconsin and every National Park in the Continental U.S. It might take us years, but we will get there!
I would love to serve on the Board of Directors to help make decisions that would benefit our community and ensure that future summers are even better than the last. I am a great listener and problem solver, very outgoing, and feel my passion for this club will make me a great choice as a Board member.

I have been a resident of Madison for the past 24 years. The past 19 years, I have provided real estate services for buyers and sellers in the residential, condominium, new construction, investment real estate, development, land, property management, and luxury home markets. During my tenure at First Weber, I have distinguished myself as a top producing agent and team (top 1/2%), and mentor. I love every aspect of real estate including remodeling, design, landscaping, and how to be a good homeowner using annual maintenance techniques learned and discovered over the years.
I am also very involved in the community. I am the board president of 100 Men of Dane County that focuses on raising children up from survival to significance. Year to date we have raised $1,500,000+ in the 3.5 years we have been around! I also volunteer or give through Clean Lakes Alliance, Coaches vs. Cancer, National W Club, Easter Seals, Tellurian Foundation, and many other community events.
I am a graduate of the University of Wisconsin business school and was a four year basketball letterman, team captain, and member of an NCAA Final Four Team 2000 and Big Ten Championship 2022. Being an athlete, I understand the unique challenges and opportunities that confront us all today in business and how to help our clients in any environment.
I am married to my amazing woman, Crystal, and we have two fabulous kids, Grant (6.5) and Charlotte (3.5). Kids are the best! We love everything Madison and Wisconsin has to offer us and our family and friends.
I applied to be on the board to help the pool be the best it can be and support the pool that our family and many families use in our area.
