Swim & Dive Lessons
Swimming and diving instruction are provided by HFSC as some of the many programs offered to its members. A child may register for only one swim class per session (exclusive of diving, competitive swimming, synchronized swimming, and Youth Water Polo).
Prerequisites for Class Participation: Please see class descriptions below.
We will administer swim assessments for enrollment in any class, if necessary. Individual testing and screening will be set up by appointment for swimmers who do not know which swim class to take. Contact Janna prior to swim class registration for more information.
Morning Swim Lessons
Two sessions of four week classes will be held Monday-Friday and one "Mighty Moo Week".
Late Afternoon/Evening Swim Lessons
Two sessions of four week classes will be held Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday

Level Ia – Introduction to Water Skills

Other Lessons
Synchronized Swimming (aka Water Ballet):
Participation:
Participants of all ages are encouraged to join in on the fun of the HFSC water ballet program. Participants will need to successfully pass the deep water test, complete front or back somersaults, and be able to tread water for 30 seconds. Participants must be available for the Water Show in order to participate in the Water Ballet program.
Structure:
The first two weeks, participants age 10 & under will attend a half-hour class time to learn the fundamentals of water ballet.
Note: Participants age 11 & over will not have class the first two weeks. Individual group practices will be held for all age participants after the first two weeks up until the week prior to the show.
Participants will be placed into groups and will remain together for their group practices until show time. Groups typically practice three 30-minute practices per week. Show groups, practice times, and sh0w theme will be announced at an Ice Cream Party in mid- to late-June.
