Memories From All City 2019
Several years ago, some of our coaches got together and created a video highlighting the many incredible moments from throughout the swim and dive season and aired it for the team at our annual spaghetti dinner. That first video was such a hit with everyone that this has now become an annual tradition and something that everyone looks forward to with gleeful anticipation as the season-ending meet approaches. This year, one of our awesome team members decided to take on this labor of love and the result was nothing short of AMAZING. From Denim Day to Donut Days, practices to meets, and everything in between, he perfectly captured what makes our Hill Farm community so special.
This video was originally debuted for the team at our annual Get Fired Up! dinner the night before Day 1 of the 2019 All City swim meet. Here it is now, for you to watch on repeat until we do it all again next year.
Enjoy and...MOO-RAH!

Competitive Swimming and Diving Program
The Swimming and Diving teams are provided by HFSC as two of the many programs offered to its members. Regular practice begins June 17th and runs Monday through Friday. Dive meets are usually held Friday evenings at 5:00 p.m. Most swim meets are scheduled on Saturday mornings at 8:00 a.m., except for some weekday meets. See the Swim & Dive Meets page for this year's meet schedule.
Participation Criteria:
Age groups are by gender and by age as of June 1. The age groups are 8 and under, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, and 15-19. We need swimmers and divers in all age groups. Swim team members must be able to swim one length of the pool using any stroke. Dive team members should be able to execute a minimum of five competitive dives.
Registration day is Sunday, June 2nd from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Please complete the Registration Form and the All City Release and Waiver, and sign the line that authorizes your child to be a member of the swim and/or dive team. These forms must be filled out and signed in order for the swimmer/diver to compete. Please bring these forms and your Swim/Dive Team Fee with your dues payment to registration day or bring them to the office before the first day of practice. Forms will be available on the website.
The fee for Swim and/or Dive Team participation is $50 per child or $100 for families with two or more participating children.
Hill Farm Home Swim Meets: HFSC is dependent upon help from all parents. Volunteer sign up will be online, watch the website and your emails for more information. There are opportunities for all levels of time commitment and experience. In addition, we need volunteers to help provide food for the lunch/snack bar at the meets.
Mini Moos
The Mini Moos program is a fun way to introduce younger swimmers to competitive swimming who are not yet able to swim a length of the swimming pool. Practices begin Tuesday, June 18th. The last day of practice is July 26th. Practices are Tuesday-Friday from 12:00 -12:45 p.m. For safety reasons, in order to join the Mini Moo swim team, a swimmer needs to be able to swim across the diving well and tread water for thirty seconds unassisted. Mini Moos may join the team or move up to the 8 and under age group at any time during the swim team season with coach consent. Mini Moos work on their strokes and endurance with the goal of swimming in the Hill Farm home swim meet on Saturday, June 27th.
Participation fee is $50.00 per child or $100.00 max. for two or more participating children. Registration day is Sunday, June 2nd from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Coaches will be available to conduct swim tests the night of team registration. Please contact Janna if you are unable to make registration day and need to arrange a swim test.
Dive Team
Anyone who has an interest in diving and can do at least 5 dives is encouraged to join the dive team. To compete in All-City dual meets, divers ages 10 & under perform 5 different dives. Older divers perform 6 different dives. Divers are encouraged to continue taking lessons to supplement their team practices.
All-City Swim & Dive Meet
Swimmers and divers must compete in three meets during the season to qualify for the All-City Meet. All teams participating in the league will compete in this exciting season-ending meet.
Each boy and girl who competes in the All-City Swimming and Diving Meet will be assessed an entry fee. The fees will be collected prior to the meet and can be paid at the pool office.
Becky Shields is the HFSC representative to the All-City Swim/Dive Team League.
